In view of their integrity and skill level, SikshaNiketan was chosen by the State Bank of India, the largest public sector bank in India, to act as their extension counter for ten villages in the vicinity. This activity is currently on hold.
SikshaNiketan has been running a central library with 14 satellite libraries spread across as many neighbouring villages.
SikshaNiketan maintains a museum that has a good collection of photographs of historical interest and those of tourist interest, a relief model of the undivided Bardhaman district, portable spinning wheel, seeds of traditional paddy varieties, a good collection of geological and zoological specimens etc.
